You know that secret draw of shame you have in your kitchen?
The one that's just jammed full of those bags for life you've accumulated from all those times you were stuck at the check out counter without a bag?
Well one facebook post has come through with the goods on how to store them in ways so efficient, it's the stuff OCD dreams are made of.
After complaining about having to fold and stash away her vast collection of bags from various supermarkets, a frustrated mum took to facebook...
And in reply she (and now all of us) was given a range of ways more efferent than just shoving them into a drawer or the press, so painfully obvious it hurts.
While you may already be employing some of these genius tactics, remember a lot of people aren't, and for them this could be kitchen drawer game changing information.
Here are a few of the suggestions:
1. Roll them
This is probably the most inventive idea for bag storage.
Think of a roll of bags that continuously dispenses from inside an old recycled container — similar to a tissue box.
By folding and overlapping your shopping bags into a large roll, and dropping that into a container such as a milk carton, you can easily dispense your plastic bags whenever you need.
2. Flatten and stack them
This tip is for all the neat freaks out there.
Fold your bags into quartered widths and quartered lengths, flattening them out and slotting them into a long, slim basket.
“This is just how I keep them tidy … I just grab some out of the container when I go shopping,” a woman suggested.
3. Chuck them in the car
Probably the most sensible one.
Because that way you'll always have them when you need them, thereby you won't need to buy more and won't end up with an infestation of them in your kitchen in the first place!
Sorted.
