If someone tells you it's too early, just show them this.
Every year it's the same argument... how early is too early?
There's the grinches who demand people must wait until December to show any form of festive cheer.
And there's those who are fine with a bit of tinsel making an appearance before Halloween...
And it seems science might be on the side of the ones who can't wait to whip the tree out of its hiding place.
It turns out there might be genuine psychological benefits to pushing for a few extra weeks of Christmas fun.
According to expert Psychoanalyst Steve McKeown, nostalgia plays a huge roll in boosting our mood when it comes to festive celebrations.
"Although there could be a number of symptomatic reasons why someone would want to obsessively put up decorations early, most commonly for nostalgic reasons either to relive the magic or to compensate for past neglect, he told Unilad.
"In a world full of stress and anxiety people like to associate to things that make them happy and Christmas decorations evoke those strong feelings of the childhood.
"Decorations are simply an anchor or pathway to those old childhood magical emotions of excitement. So putting up those Christmas decorations early extends the excitement!"
