The days of tireless scrubbing could be over!

It's no secret that Irish women like to use a but of fake tan from time to time...and anyone who has used it will know the struggle that comes with removing it.

It can literally take hours and feel like you're scrubbing off an entire layer of skin.

But thanks to a woman named Lauren, the days of tireless scrubbing could well be over! And it's all down to this dirt cheap washing up product.

Sharing her tip on Twitter, she wrote: "To all my tanning friends... Bondi Sands tan remover in one of these little scrubbers takes your tan off in minutes girls, legit seconds!!"

While the dishmatic sponges cost as little as €1.50 and are sold in all major supermarkets, the fake tan remover will set you back a bit more, at €14.99.

Lauren offers another top tip, saying it's better to use a white scrubber rather than green, as these are gentler on the skin.

So does this actually work?

Others certainly seemed to think so.

One fan wrote: "My life has just changed" while another agreed, adding: "Omg I just tried this and it’s actually so good!! Game Changer!"

Another convert even gave some more in-depth instructions, writing: "You just need to make sure that you leave it on your skin for 5-10 mins to fully soak in and then wash off in the shower - for those stubborn after tan areas it works best when you scrub off with exfoliating mitts/gloves or a dry body brush."
