Considering moving abroad?
If you're considering moving abroad for work or whatever reason, a new study has revealed which cities are the best to live in as an expat.
According to the ranking, Asian cities come out on top with Taipei in Taiwan topped Internations’ 2019 Expat City Ranking, which analysed 82 cities worldwide on factors such as quality of life, ease of getting settled, work life, finance and housing and cost of living.
It's the second year running Taipei has taken out top spot and it was followed by Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
Rounding out the top five were Singapore and Montreal in Canada.
Expats living in Taipei spoke highly of the transport, healthcare availability and 96% said they felt safe living in the city.
The rest of the top 10 cities were in Europe: Lisbon, Portugal; Barcelona, Spain; Zug, Switzerland; The Hague, the Netherlands; and Basel, Switzerland.
In terms of the worst cities to move to Kuwait City came bottom at 82nd place.
And Dublin didn't fare much better than that, coming in at 72nd place.
While Rome, Milan, Lagos, Paris, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Lima, New York City and Yangon also ranked lowly.
