Before you get TOO excited, guests will be limited to just the one butler each... so.
Fans of hit TV series Downton Abbey now have the opportunity to live like a Crawley for one night only, on November the 26th.
To mark the release of the new Downton Abbey movie, the owners of the iconic castle which is the set of the ITV’s iconic period drama — have listed their home on Airbnb at a rate of £150 (€169).
In a one-night-only listing, Earl and Lady Carnarvon are inviting one lucky couple to “live like royalty” at their 100,000-square-foot, 300-room estate in Hampshire.
The chosen pair will be invited to share dinner with the Earl and Countess in the state dining room, followed by coffee in the library.
They will then hit the hay in one of the gallery bedrooms overlooking the stunning parkland.
Booking on the site opens on October 1 at 12pm and as mentioned earlier costs €169 - and you'd have to be lightning quick.
The stay does come with a few conditions too:
- No pets.
- Newspapers must be ironed (not your job).
- Gossip is restricted to downstairs quarters only.
- Guests limited to one butler per person (just the one?! Damn it)
- No Wi-Fi or TV.
In a statement issued with the Airbnb listing, lady of the house Lady Carnarvon herself said she was "delighted" to be opening up the castle doors for other guests to enjoy.
"It's an absolute privilege and pleasure to call Highclere Castle my home, and I am delighted to be able to share it on Airbnb for a truly unique stay," she said.
"Highclere Castle has been in the Carnarvon family since 1679 and has an incredibly rich history. I am passionate about the stories and heritage of Highclere Castle, and I am looking forward to welcoming our future guests."
