Although we're all enjoying the good weather, it's not 'paw-fect' for out furry friends
Dog owners are being warned to be careful about walking their dogs in the hot weather - and never leave them in the car.
Temperatures are expected to continue into the twenties this weekend - and the experts say exercising your pets can cause heatstroke.
Aideen O'Connor from the charity 'Dogs Trust' has this advice:
"We always really stress to never leave your dog in the car, no matter what the temperature but beyond that it's exercising in the coolest part of the day and if you're worried at all you're not exercising in those days, just short little walks."
Temperatures are set to climb next week.
High pressure is dominating indicating the spell of dry and sunny weather will continue.
Met Éireann expects the good spell to continue until next Wednesday at least.
