The Irish capital is among to costliest in Europe

Dining out in Dublin is more expensive than Paris, London or Rome.
A survey ranking twenty European capitals, indicates the Irish capital's restaurants are among the costliest in Europe.
A three-course meal for two costs around €80 in Dublin.
In Paris, the average cost of a three-course meal for two is around €60, and in Rome the same meal costs €70.
Denmark’s capital Copenhagen is the most expensive at €107.32, followed by Monaco on €100.
The Irish Times reports, a survey ranking 20 European capitals for dining out places Dublin at number 10 overall, but indicates that its restaurants are among the region’s costliest.
The news came as the Government confirmed it would extend the hospitality industry’s special 9 per cent VAT rate until the end of the summer.
The Head of Fáilte Ireland, Paul Kelly, says their research shows Ireland is still good value for money.
"Overall what our research is saying to us is that we have moved up to be in the same pricing as Paris and London, as those tier one cities.
"But...we're still seen as a good quality destination and people won't come here if the quality doesn't match."
