Nicola Coughlan and Siobhán McSweeney say their emotional goodbyes to the tv series
Derry Girls stars Nicola Coughlan and Siobhán McSweeney have taken to their social media to share touching behind the scenes snaps of the final series of the beloved comedy.
Nicola Coughlan, who plays Clare Devlin since the first series took to Instagram to let fans know that the filming of the third and final series has come to an end.
The Instagram picture is a polaroid showing Nicola with her co-star Louisa Harland - who plays Orla.
The snap also included two rainbow pins - which we seen Clare wearing when she came out as a "wee lesbian" in series one.
The Galway woman captioned the post:

Many fans took to the comments to express their sadness that the show was ending
“NOOOOOOO! I'M NOT READY TO SAY GOODBYE!” one fan declared with dozens of crying emojis.
Another commenter shared: “Great show! We’ll miss the wee lesbian."
A third person wrote: “Never want this show to end."
Siobhán McSweeney, who plays the hilarious Sister Michael took to Twitter to bid her farewell.
Siobhán uploaded a picture of her iconic religious habit with the caption:
"Goodbye you mad woman. You’ve changed my life. I know you’d hate to hear this, but I love you. #DerryGirls #SrMichaelForever"
We can just imagine the eye roll from Sr Michael when hearing the word love.
