Self isolation is putting relationships to the test.

As a lot of couples around Ireland are finding out right now, it can be quite testing to spend all of your time together.

Except perhaps for the odd run or trip to the shops, couples have been confined to the four walls of their houses - and will still be there for the short term future.

With the strain some couples could be facing in mind, the Accord Catholic Marriage Care Service has created a new relationship support phone line to help couples through the covid-19 emergency.

It will be staffed by experienced couples and relationships counsellors and Accord says the current circumstances can increase stress and pressure on relationships and in families.

If you think you and your significant other could use some help during this tough time, the support line is open Monday to Friday from 9am until 8pm.
