"This is such a great idea, I'll be making one today."
Anyone with young children knows this scenario...
They excitedly unwrap their gift, then that sobering moment to hits.... It requires batteries - and can't be played with.
Suddenly the jubilation turns to tears.
But one mum has been labelled a 'genius' after sharing her trick to ensuring it all goes smoothly by preparing a 'Christmas morning box' ahead of time.
Kerry from Australia took to Facebook to post a photo of her hack, explaining the box is a life-saver when it comes to unpacking and assembling toys on December 25, as reported by The Sun.
She wrote: "Does anyone else have a Christmas morning box?
"I always put one together so I'm not running around on Christmas morning trying to find scissors or batteries!
"Mine has batteries, scissors, mini screwdrivers and bin bags."
The simple idea proved to be a huge hit with others, with many praising Kerry's forward-thinking at a time when it can easily be forgotten with so many other jobs to get sorted before Santa visits.

Another raved: "Best idea ever. I've spent the past three Christmases scrounging for batteries."
Others added their own suggestions to make it all a little easier, including a wide variety of batteries to prepare for every eventuality, string and even pen knives for those well wrapped pressies.
Think it's a good idea? Luckily you still have a little time to assemble one before the big day!
