As if we needed an excuse...

There's just under seven weeks until Christmas Day which means one thing.

It's high time to dig out the Christmas movies.

And in case you needed an excuse, a leading psychologist has claimed that watching Christmas movies is good for you and puts you in a better mood.

They told Do You Remember? that watching them not only gives you the Christmas feels, it also produces dopamine, which releases a feel-good hormone inside your body and is good for your overall health and wellbeing.

They added that:

"It does create that neurological shift that can produce happiness.

"I think anything that takes us out of our normal habituation, the normal day in, day out … signals our senses, and then our senses measure if it’s pleasing or not."

The psychologist also added that also putting up the Christmas decorations can release the same feel good hormone inside your body.
