You may be dreaming of a white Christmas or maybe your dreams go beyond that and you're holding out to win the lotto.

But what would you buy if you won the lotto?

If you were to win a life changing amount you could afford to travel to the other side of the world or treat yourself to a brand new house.

Some would even use to money to buy themselves a new set of wheels but not the set of wheels you'd think.

One third of drivers would buy a low key but very comfortable car if they won the Lotto, according to new research from Aviva.

A top of the range electric car was the second chosen option amongst 20% of drivers, followed closely by a top of the range SUV at 17%.

Only 11% of those surveyed dreamt of something flashier with 6% saying they would buy a flash sports car such as a Ferrari.

Meanwhile, men are more like to select a flashier new car option than women if they won the Lotto.

One in ten say they would not change the car that they have even with a lotto win, while 9% claimed that they would not spend any of the money on a car.
