Great British Bake Off return date has been announced

GBBO will return to channel 4 with Alison Hammond joining the bill

The evenings are getting longer, which means more time to snuggle up on the couch watching the telly.

An autumnal staple on the television programme schedule is returning and sooner than you think.

Take note as the new series of The Great British Bake Off starts on the 26th of September.

Stalwart Paul Hollywood returns in the judging panel alongside Prue Leith.

But the competition has a brand new host - Alison Hammond who will be joined by Noel Fielding for his 7th year hosting.

This isn't Alison's first time in the tent as she took part on The Great Stang Up to Cancer Bake Off and who could forget these iconic momets:
