Another subscription service? This one might be slightly different..
According to reports, Apple wants to sell iPhones and iPads as part of a subscription service.
It comes from U.S. news outlet Bloomberg which says it could come as soon as 2023.
Apple already has a number of subscription services with the likes of Apple Music, Apple TV and Apple Fitness.
Bloomberg says it would be similar to paying for a phone via bill pay and paying in instalments.
The subscription service would allow iPhone or iPad users to upgrade to new hardware as soon as it's released.
SCOOP: Apple is working on a subscription service for the iPhone and other hardware products, a move that could make device ownership similar to paying a monthly app fee (via @markgurman @technology) https://t.co/rT3ZLtZIkW pic.twitter.com/RDmOKzRgpD

All Apple services such as AppleCare and Apple Music are for the most part separate so that would be all bundled into one.
How does Bloomberg see the service rolling out? It'll unlikely be a case of paying monthly to 'rent' a phone.
They reckon Apple want to cut out the middleman and provide their hardware directly to customers.
The details are still being revealed but it's understood it'll be expanded to all Apple products like Mac computers and iPads.
So if you want the latest iPhone hassle-free, the subscription service might be for you.
