It's the wild, wild West!

Batten down the hatches! It's windy and wild in the West today.

Met Éireann have issued a status yellow rain warning for the whole of Connacht as well as Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

The warning is in place until 9pm tonight.

In a statement, a spokesperson from Met Éireann said "some very heavy or thundery downpours are likely at times on Tuesday, mainly in parts of Connacht and Ulster with local spot flooding."

So bring your brolly, jacket up and be careful out there!

But surelook, at the end of it all it's just another beautiful Irish summers day, isn't it?
