Irish people... We've lost the run of ourselves.
The good weather has put a pep in the steps of previously Vitamin-D-deprived Irish sun seekers, as hot rays have warmed up our island in recent days.
Temperatures of 28 degrees were recorded by iRadio listeners in Sligo today, another recorded a whopper 31 degrees in Tyrone, with the West enjoying temperatures of 23-27 degrees.
Patchy cloud has featured in parts alongside some isolated showers/ thunderstorms, but overall Ireland is basking in glorious sunshine today.
We can look forward to more sunshine tomorrow. Our National Forecaster predicts another fine, sunshine-filled day, with cloudy periods, especially in Southern parts where some showers are predicted. It'll remain warm, with temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees.
Met Éireann expect wetter conditions in parts on Wednesday night, with Thursday shaping up to be a cloudier day with scattered showers, but there's also sunshine in the mix with temperatures again warm, predicted around 17-21 degrees. Friday's looking similar.
With regard to the weekend, their website says "Present indications suggest a continuation of a showery type regime (for Saturday and Sunday) with low pressure stationary to the south of Ireland in the Bay of Biscay feeding scattered showers up over the country from the south. Areas of coastal mist, fog and low cloud will likely affect southern coasts at times. Winds generally light to moderate with maximum temperatures ranging 16 to 21 degrees."
