As the iRadio Peugeot iTeam were driving through Co. Roscommon yesterday, they spotted a house smothered in Christmas decorations.
Yes, we know it's October, but hear us out.
Seamus Staunton began immersing his home, garden, driveway and hedges in Christmas decorations around twenty years ago.
"In the early days it was a few trees here, a few there", he told me. Then it just got "bigger and bigger".
The garage owner in Ballyhaunis, Co. Roscommon, has spend years collecting money for different charities close to his heart.
In the early days he collected money for Mayo Roscommon Hospice.
When his daughter got sick with cancer, and sadly passed away, he began raising money for Cancer Care West.
Seamus has raised approximately €82,000 for charity over the years.
"Dare we ask about the ESB bill?", I asked him.
He explained that over the 6 week period, this can cost in or around €800-€1,000 to run.
Although he does much of the work, decorating and set up himself, Seamus explained there's always a neighbour nearby to call on for help.
"It draws big attention", he told me. "On December 8th, Santa Claus comes in".
A double snow machine is also on the go over the 6 weeks. "It looks well when it's snowing", he added.
Opening night is December 8th, and it the magic runs until early January.
