The ISPCA are looking to rehome two dogs who were found in County Kildare.

Herbert and Ellie were abandoned by their former owners and rescued near a property in Castledermot. They were discovered after a member of the public told the ISPCA that the dogs had been left behind when their owners moved house.

They're both young dogs aged between four or five. Herbert is a German Shepherd and Ellie is a Collie.

The ISPCA is looking to rehome the two dogs together as they say the pair are inseperable.

“These two dogs are absolutely beautiful, and have great temperaments", said ISPCA Inspector Fiona Conlon.

"They love the outdoors and enjoy getting out for walks. It is totally shocking to think that somebody left these two lovely dogs behind".

"Pet owners have a legal responsibility to care for their animals, even if they are moving house, there is no excuse for abandoning these dogs to fend for themselves.”

The ISPCA are calling on anyone who can rehome the pair to contact them on 043 33 25035 or email [email protected].
