Oh the Green and Red of Mayo!
Mayo has taken out the prestigious title of having the most pubs per-person in Ireland!
That is according to figures just released via AIB’s Pubs Outlook 2018 - in which the bank examined the pub per-person ratio across Ireland's 32-Counties.
The outlook revealed that Mayo is stacked with a whopping one pub for every 323 citizens, putting it in top spot. Narrowly edging out Kerry in second place (one pub for every 344 people), and Clare in third (one pub for every 383 people).
Meanwhile at the other end of the spectrum, the Counties with the least amount of pubs per head is Laois (123) closely followed by Offaly, with 126.
Surprisingly the County with the most pubs overall isn't Dublin (with 772), but actually Cork which boasts a massive 955 pubs - One for every 543 people.
