A husband called the police on his wife after she refused to split a bill.
The couple in Australia were out for a weekday lunch after they received the bill for their "succulent Chinese meal", Yahoo reports.
Police in Sydney got an emergency call from the husband complaining that his wife was refusing to split the cost.
The North Shore Police Area Command attended the restaurant in Chatswood after the man demanded his wife cover her portion.
“Police spoke with the man, who phoned triple zero to alert police to the dispute", they wrote in a statement.
" (Police) advised him that triple zero is for emergency situations where a life is in danger, a crime is taking place, or in time critical situations,”
“Police are unsure of who eventually paid for the remainder of the succulent Chinese meal,” they added.
