The bug allowed users to eavesdrop on conversations via FaceTime.
The group FaceTime feature on iPhones remains offline this afternoon.
Apple has taken down the feature, after a bug which allows people to eavesdrop, was discovered.
The glitch allows iPhone users to use the feature to listen to audio or watch video before a call has been answered.
A video posted to Twitter account @BmManski showed how simple it is to take advantage of the flaw and listen in on an iPhone being called using FaceTime.
