Bird Box Breaks Netflix Records

Bird Box has broken Netflix records.

The horror film starring Sandra Bullock was watched over 45 million times in its first week. That makes it the most popular opening for a Netflix original movie.

The record was previously held by Bright, which starred Will Smith and was first released in December 2017.

Netflix has over 137 million subscribers which means around 33% of accounts viewed Bird Box in the opening week.

The movie stars Sandra Bullock as a mother who's trying to protect her children after a supernatural force that kills you if you see it wipes out most of humanity.
