Sunny days...where have you gone?
Known as the 'Sunshine vitamin' vitamin D is one of the most important elements for a healthy functioning body.
But unfortunately, natural levels of vitamin D are a tad low in the winter months...
Even though we're well over the halfway mark of Winter, and the days are getting (a little) longer, the chances of developing a vitamin D deficiency are still very high.
So here are six signs you should look out for:
1. Hair Loss
While there are a number of other factors which can lead to hair loss, such as stress.

2. You're tired all the time

Pain in your bones or lower back could indicate you aren't producing enough of the vitamin.

6. You’re feeling blue
Vitamin D is important for the release of ‘serotonin’, known as the happiness chemical.
A lack of serotonin can lead to feeling down or even depressed. SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is heavily impacted by the levels of vitamin D in your body.
