Wild Atlantic Way named in Top 50 Epic Drives of the World

The Wild Atlantic Way has been included in Lonely Planet's Epic Drives of the World.

The route, which takes in nine counties, stretches along the Atlantic coast from Donegal to West Cork.

It now joins the ranks of iconic roads such as Route 66 in the US, Australia's Great Ocean Drive and Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh Road.

Another Irish road's listed in Lonely Planet's guide. Northern Ireland's Coastal Causeway Route features a series of signposts to Game of Thrones locations.
