Each year, the festive season brings us some specials from our favourite programmes.
Here's what to look out for this year.
The Great British Bake Off - BBC1, Christmas Day, 4:45pm and Stephen's Day, 7pm
The highly anticipated Christmas Bake off will be spread across two episodes and will feature former contestants Howard Middleton and Cathryn Dresser.
It will be mad even more emotional by the fact that it's the last time Mel, Sue, Mary and Paul will all be together on the show.
Mrs Brown's Boys - RTÉ One Christmas Day, 10:25pm
It's now become the norm to expect a yuletide special from Brendan O'Carroll's massively successful comedy.
You'll catch this year's helping, featuring another chaotic Christmas in the Brown household late on Christmas Night.
Bridget and Eamon - RTÉ One Christmas Eve, 10:05pm
Fans of RTÉ's retro comedy can expect another brand new Christmas episode this year.
The story? Bridget accidentally kills Eamon's mammy with an electric carving knife. This should be good!
Pull Like A Dog - RTÉ One December 27, 9:30pm
We all agreed that Olympic Rowers Paul and Gary O'Donovan needed their own TV show after their TV appearances in Rio.
Well, it's finally happened and a one-hour documentary about the boys will be on our screens on 27 December. Pull Like a Dog will document the lads' success in Rio, their triumphant return to Skibbereen and everything that followed Olympic glory.
Doctor Who - BBC1, Christmas Day, 5:45pm
For this year's special, the Twelfth Doctor, played by Peter Capaldi will be joining forces with the mysterious superhero called "The Ghost".
Little Britain's Matt Lucas returns to the cast for the festive episode.
Sherlock - BBC1, New Year's Day, 8:30pm
Okay, so it's not a Christmas special, but series four of Sherlock returns on New Year Day, with an episode titled "The Six Thatchers".
Strictly Come Dancing - BBC 1, Christmas Day, 6:45pm
With a lineup that includes Ainsley Harriott, Pamela Stephenson and Ghetin Jones battling it out for the Silver Star trophy, fans of strictly are in for a treat on Christmas day.
