Dog lovers will be able to relate to this!

A video of a woman protecting her dog at the Crufts final has gone viral.

Yvette Short's whippet Collooney Tartan Tease had just been announced as the overall winner at the canine show in Birmingham when a protester stormed the arena.

It turns out the demonstrator was with animal rights group Peta but Yvette from Scotland wasn't taking any chances - she grabbed Collooney Tartan Tease and legged it.

Her actions struck a chord with dog owners and the dramatic footage is being shared online.

The invader, who had been holding a placard reading ‘Crufts canine eugenics’, was wrestled to the ground within seconds.

Peta say they organised the protest to raise awareness of ‘unnatural breeding’.
