Gary and Paul O'Donovan smashed it in their Lightweight Double Sculls heat yesterday, taking first place in a time of 6:32.72, ahead of Italy.
Aside from doing great in their competition, the lads were amazing in their post-race interview and only seemed to be disappointed that their race had been postponed the day before due to strong wind.
The lads joked that "we're well used to a bit of wind. That kind of thing wouldn'd faze us at all", all in strong Cork accents in front of the tropical Brazilian sea.
