Widespread thunderstorms with frequent lightning are expected afternoon and evening.
They also expect potential large amounts of rainfall in a short period of time with spot flooding in areas.
A Status Yellow Thunder warning is also in place for Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Louth, Wicklow, Donegal, Cork and Kerry.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected in these areas this afternoon and evening with rainfall and spot flooding due too.
Both of these warnings are currently valid until 11pm.
