"It's very hard to a plan a life or find joy in small things if your world is consumed by the idea that you could be taken."

A family living in Co Offaly are waiting to hear if a deportation order that's outstanding against them will be revoked.

Teenagers Nonso and Victor Muojeke and their mother have been living in Ireland for the past 12 years.

The fled Nigeria in 2007 following the serious mistreatment of Mrs Muojeke by her brother-in-law, but their application for asylum was declined in 2009.

Their case is currently before the courts.

14 year old Nonso and 19 year old Victor have spent most of their lives here and consider themselves Irish.

Nonso's classmates in Tullamore College have created a video urging the Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan to save their friend and his family from deportation.

A petition asking Minister Flanagan to overturn the deportation order has been signed by over 20,000 people.

#SaveNono supporters gathered outside the Dáil last week to deliver the 20,000 signatures.

Following the demonstration, Charlie Flanagan said he can't interfere with cases that are before the courts, but that Nonso "is not at any immediate risk of deportation".

However, Joe Caslin, a street artist and teacher at Tullamore College, spoke to The Hub's Dave Duke and said the threat is still there:
