"I did not like the sight of families being separated."
The US president has made a massive turnaround on his policy of separating immigrant families at the US border with Mexico.
Donald Trump has signed an executive order aimed at putting an end to the controversial practice.
He had faced widespread condemnation since footage emerged of crying children, who had been separated from their parents and locked up.

Speaking at the White House, Trump said:
"It's about keeping families together. I did not like the sight of families being separated."
However, he said he'll stay tough on immigration.
The US House of Representatives is due to consider a bill on the issue tomorrow.
The worldwide protests against the policy, planned for tomorrow June 30th, are still on.
