The country is trying to get back on its feet after Storm Emma.
At least 12,000 homes are still without power, while 10,000 households have no water.
Irish Water say that reservoirs, particularly in Meath, Westmeath, Longford, Donegal, Leitrim, Wexford and Cork, are running low due to unusually high demand during the cold snap.
As a result, there are water restrictions in some areas to avoid reservoirs emptying, and Irish Water is appealing to people to conserve water.
