An Ed Sheeran festival has been announced for Galway City.
Ed Fest will take place in The Latin Quarter from May 10th to 13th to coincide with the singer-songwriter's gigs in Pearse Stadium.
It’s no secret that Ed has a massive love for Galway, so The Latin Quarter is calling on the entire city to welcome the 27 year old back to the West.
Highlights of the festival include Ed Sheeran DJ sets and tribute acts, buskers on the streets playing Ed's songs and an Ed Sheeran look-alike competition.
There will also be Ed-themed shop fronts and window displays and Ed-inspired food and drinks in the bar and restaurants of the cultural heart of the city.
A festival-like atmosphere is guaranteed as over 60,000 fans descend on Galway for the two gigs.
And for anyone who missed out on tickets, Ed Fest sounds like the next best thing.
The event is the first festival of its kind in Ireland and quite possibly the world, so who knows, Ed might even attend himself!
