ALL YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
It's hard to believe it's been a whopping 20 years since Jumanji hit our screens and won our hearts.
The fantasy film, which starred the incredible Robin Williams was an instant hit upon its release.
Here's what we know so far about the planned remake.
Who's directing?
Jake Kasdan, the man behind comedies Bad Teacher and Sex Tape has been confirmed as the director. Let's hope he can handle the move from comedy to fantasy.
When will it be in cinemas?
The remake has a release date of 25 December this year. The original came out on 15 December 1995, just over 21 years before.
Will the story be the same?
The original Jumanji was based on a kids' book of the same name. Columbia Pictures say the new film will draw material from the original book but will "update it for the present", so expect iPhones and Facebook.
Who's going to star in it?
We don't know yet. The first film starred Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst and Bonnie Hunt. Some people have reacted angrily to the remake, accusing the makers of being insensitive to Williams' death last year.
I can't be the only one who thinks its WAY too freaking soon to be messing with ANY #RobinWilliams film, can I? #Jumanji

I really don't want that Jumanji remake. Probably because I feel it's too soon after Robin William's death and that's one of my favs.
