The secret to living for a century is reportedly pretty straight forward - stay single.
At least, that’s what three centenarians in the US claim.
Lucille Watson turned 100 on Sunday and spoke to the New York Post about how she's lived to 100.
She says refusing to tie the knot has helped her make it to such a ripe old age.
"I got to travel and have lots of boyfriends. That’s much better than a husband. Why break up the fun?"
Lucille lives in Dr. Susan Smith McKinney Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Brooklyn.
There are now six ladies there between the ages of 100 and 102, and at least three of them are confirmed singletons.
Caroline Binns, who turned 100 in February, told the paper:
"I’d rather be left in peace, not in pieces."
While Carolyn Burton, who became a golden girl last May, turned down five proposals:
"They were all very nice men, but I didn’t want the stress."
We hear you, girls!
