There’s no denying it – autumn is here.
While it may feel wretched to pack away your festival gear and bikinis, we’re excited to embrace the cooler weather and the brand spanking new trends that come with a fresh season.
The AW18 catwalks were awash with bold and sumptuous looks, as well as a few fall favourites.
We've rounded up the hottest trends of autumn 2018.
Animal Print
We're feline it!
From leopard spots to tiger stripes, zebra to snake, the high street is already covered in animal print in all its forms.
Animal print pretty much suits everyone but if you're not brave enough to wear a statement piece like a coat or dress, you can still roar by donning a wild bag, statement belt or heels.
Brown is the new black
The AW18 catwalks had a distinctive 70s vibe with rich retro shades of camel, chocolate, mustard, rust and burgundy.
The neutral tones work best when worn head-to-toe. However, if you don't fancy the vintage look try taking on the trend with a classic camel coat, or pair tweed trousers with a cosy cream knit.
Futuristic 80s
Future-proof your wardrobe with all things shiny and plastic.
Daring sci-fi fabrics with a definite Blade Runner vibe were key on the catwalks this season. Think metallics, vinyl, sequins, leather, lurex and holographic finishes.
The vinyl trench is this fetishistic trend's statement piece but an easier look is the leather dress, which comes in an array of colours this season.
Perfect plaid
Cher Horowitz called and she wants her skirt back!
The Clueless mini kilt is everywhere in hues like baby pink and neon green, not just the iconic yellow shade.
Many designers incorporated plaid, tartan and checks into their AW18 collections.
Look out for slip dresses, blazers and coats.
Suits you
Tailoring remains huge this season. For AW18, the trouser suit is oversized and cooler than ever.
A seriously hard-working piece, the trousers and jacket can be worn together or separately - pair the trousers with a plain tee and the blazer over a dress.
