SUCH A NICE GESTURE!
It was the ultimate nightmare for Peg McCormack, when she broke her ankle the day before her grandson Brian Kurtilik's wedding.
Naturally, Brian had to push ahead with his wedding to his now wife Lauren.
Peg was only told the morning of the wedding that she wouldn't be able to make it and had been dressed for the occasion in the hope that she'd be discharged. However, she then accepted that she wouldn't get to see the newlyweds until the next day.
But her grandson had different plans, opting to visit his 91-year old grandmother on the way to his wedding reception, dressed up in his finest with Laura.
Her face says it all really!
Peg passed away a month after the wedding last November, having said she was "living" for the wedding. It makes Brian's touching gesture all the more significant.
