According to researchers, people who swear more may actually be more trustworthy.

In the study published in the Social Psychological and Personality Science, over 270 were asked about their favourite curse words. They were then asked questions through a lie detector test and the results suggested that those who cursed more were less likely to lie.

The team was led by Gilad Feldman of Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

So, next time someone gives you a grueller for cursing, you have this as your defence!
