Study finds drinking tea could make you more creative

We're known as a nation of poets and scholars but it could be down to all the tea we consume!

A new study's found drinking a cup of tea could make you more creative.

Researchers from Peking University in China monitored 50 students - giving half a cup of black tea to drink, and the other half a glass of water. They then asked them to take two different tests.

The students who drank tea scored better in creative and cognition tests than those who had drunk water.

Tea contains caffeine and theanine which increase attentiveness and alertness, but the researchers believe it's tea's mood-boosting properties that make us more creative.

Yes, downing a cuppa makes us happier and when we're happy we're more creative.
