An orange weather warning in in place for 13 Counties, as Ireland braces for Storm Ali.
Galway City Council’s weather assessment team met this morning to review this warning, and due to the wind speed and direction, there is a chance of wave overtopping at Salthill.
We're told that road crews will be on standby from early morning tomorrow to close the Prom Road, depending on weather conditions.
But, it is expected the Prom Road will definitely be closed tomorrow morning, (Wednesday), but the exact times will be decided by crews on the ground.
Both car parks in Salthill will be closed this evening, (Tuesday), as a precaution.
