The Belfast Telegraph is reporting the man was working near the entrance of Slieve Gullion Forest Park outside Newry when the incident happened.

It is believed he was working on behalf of NI Water.  The man's co-worker was also hurt in the incident.

Speaking to The Belfast Telegraph, SDLP MLA for Newry and Armagh Justin McNulty said: "It is very sad and shocking that a man can go out for a day’s work and not go home. Our thoughts and prayers are with the man’s friends and family and colleagues. There’s nothing more to say than that."
