Status orange fog warning in place for the whole country today

There's a nationwide status orange fog warning in place today.

Met Éireann issued the warning last night and it's valid until midnight tonight.

So far, Connacht, the Midlands and Munster are the worst affected areas.

Road users are being warned to be extra cautious due to poor visibility.

Motorists are advised to reduce their speed, keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front and use their fog lights in the affected areas but don't forget to turn them off afterwards.
