The singer confirmed the news on Twitter.
Singer Sinead O’Connor has changed her name to Shuhada Davitt and converted to Islam.
The 51-year-old confirmed the news via Twitter - and it's not the first time she's changed her name. After becoming Magda Davitt last year.
The singer announced the news by posting a recent image of herself wearing a hijab.
Davitt said her new found faith was a "natural conclusion" of her religious studies.
"This is to announce that I am proud to have become a Muslim. This is the natural conclusion of any intelligent theologian’s journey. All scripture study leads to Islam. Which makes all other scriptures redundant. I will be given (another) new name. It will be Shuhada," she said.
