Sick of heading out on the town every Saturday night?
Same faces, same venues, same gossip?
Why not gather the troops and try doing some new things this Autumn?
We know it's hard to motivate the gang and to get everyone on board, especially when we can all be so set in our routines, so here are 5 suggestions and idea starters that you can share with your friends in your Whats App group.
-
Have a spa night at home with friends
Get the girls/ lads together, stock up on the face masks and get some much-needed TLC. This also ensures quality time and plenty of chats without loud music banging in your ears. Also, it's cost efficient and hangover-free. Win, win!
-
Host a 'Come Dine with Me' night
Good friends plus good grub? Always a winner. We also love that this can get super competitive. Why not try and roll out a rota among mates, and assign who'll the host which night? This is also an opportunity to brush up on your cooking skills and try out some new recipes.
-
Go horse riding
This is an excellent way to see our beautiful island from another perspective. Horse riding treks take place all year round and guarantee some head space and all-important exercise.
-
Go for a long winter walk
We have great intentions to get some outdoor exploration in at weekends, but this doesn't realistically always work out. So, why not make a picnic, use your active wear for activities rather than lazing around on a Sunday after a big night out on a Saturday, (admit it!), and get that heart pumping?
-
Fill your car with your friends and watch your favourite scary movies on the biggest outdoor LED screen in the world
We at iRadio are bringing back the outdoor cinema experience, in conjunction with Retro Drive-in Movies.
Over three-nostalgia packed evenings at Ballybrit Racecourse in Galway, upto 250 carloads of movie goers will get to experience the magic of the largest Mobile LED Screen in the entire World.
Why not fill the car with your besties and check out some of the below movies this October?
Friday Oct 19th:
To kick it all off, at 8pm you can go back to where it all began for ‘the boy who lived,’ as Harry discovers Hogwarts for the very first time in the iconic first installment in the Harry potter series.
It is of course, Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone.
Saturday Oct 20th:
The magic continues at 2.45pm as Harry and Ron take a trip into the enchanted forest in the famous Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets.
At 6.45pm it’s a dose of Disney delight, with 1993 cult classic Hocus Pocus! (Sold Out)
If you’re afraid of the dark, you might want to keep the interior car light on for this one… The iconic Scream will hit the big screen at 9.30pm.
Sunday Oct 21st:
The third (and arguably the best) of the Harry Potter series will take centre stage at 3.00pm with Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban.
Let’s be honest… once just isn’t enough… So at 6.45pm we’re giving the witches from Hocus Pocus some more air time!
Finally, we’re going out with a bang with our final film It’s one of the most iconic horror films ever made, if you haven’t seen it, you simply have to be at The Exorcist at 9.15pm.
We're super excited about this. If you fancy joining us, you can grab tickets here.
