Everton and Ireland fans have been coming to terms with the fact that the full-back will be absent for quite some time.
Support has been flooding in for the 28 year old from Donegal.

But, there's been support closer to home too, notably from five year old Reece Kenny and his brother Cody (7).
The two boyos were only delighted to have met the man himself last week and have penned this mega-cute postcard.
