There's a strange advantage to being infected by Toxoplasma gondii.
Scientists in the US have found there's a link between the parasite, which is spread by cats, and becoming a business tycoon.
The organism which infects the brain causes personality changes associated with risk-taking.
Researchers from the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business surveyed almost 1,300 students.
They discovered that those who tested positive for Toxoplasma gondii were 1.7 times more likely to be majoring in business.
In addition, an analysis of databases from 42 countries revealed that the parasite's prevalence was a "consistent, positive predictor of entrepreneurial activity".
The infection rarely produces symptoms other than a mild flu-like illness.
