This will affect passengers going on weekend breaks majorly.

Non- priority Ryanair passengers will no longer be able to bring on board two pieces of luggage. They said their two carry on bag policy had become "too popular".

The new policies come into affect on November 1st: from that date, passengers can check in their smaller wheelie bag without charge. You can still bring your one item of smaller (35cm x 20cm x 20cm)  hand luggage on board.

Only Priority customers will be able to bring on two pieces of carry on luggage for free.

If passengers would like to bring on the second carry on item, from November 1st it will cost passengers €5 per person per flight to get priority/ Flexi Plus/ Fmaily Plus or Plus booking. Remember, you can still bring your other bag free of charge, but you must check it in.

Elsewhere, Ryanair say they'll increase their check-in bag allowance from 15kg to 20kg for all bags

They'll also drop their drop  20kg check-in bag fee from €35 to €25.

Chief Marketing Director at Ryanair Kenny Jacobs said they hopes the new policy will "eliminate flight delays"
