Be honest, do you know what Aer Lingus means?

American TV hosts Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa think that the 'Lingus' in Aer Lingus is an actual place!

The pair were talking about the disruption caused by airlines swapping terminals at Los Angeles International Airport recently, and which ones were affected.

Discussing the confusion, Ryan and Kelly claimed it would be easier if air carriers stuck to flying to the destinations that they're named after.

Ryan: It would be much easier if you’re flying anywhere in America... American. If you’re going to Canada, Air Canada. If you’re going to Lingus, Aer Lingus. I don’t know where that is...I think it’s in Ireland somewhere.

Kelly: Is that true? I’ve always been curious about Aer Lingus, but I’ve always been too embarrassed to ask. I’m like “What is Aer Lingus?” and I wanna go on it.

Let's not be too hard on them, who knew Aer Lingus is the Irish for air fleet?! Staff at the shamrock-stamped airline certainly didn't seem to mind - they just loved the mention!
