A restaurant in Tasmania is adorning its margaritas with pig's eyeballs - yes, real pig's eyeballs!

Faro, a new restaurant in the capital Hobart, is serving up the terrifying-looking black margaritas.

However, you're told not to eat the eyeball or even lick it. Diners also have to down the cocktail before the ice melts.

A food critic for Australian magazine, Gourmet Traveller, wasn't too impressed.

Pat Nourse wrote: "I looked at the pig's eye in my drink. The pig's eye looked back at me...(it's) as much of a let-down to the would-be Instagrammer as it is to the drinker...a nightmare to photograph."

He also added that the charcoal used to darken the margarita "dampen down the flavours of tequila, mezcal and lime."

The restaurant also has a pig slicing machine - so, not for veggies we're guessing!
