Researchers bag $200K to study cow farts

That's a lot of moolah!

Most of us know that cows release methane and that methane is a greenhouse gas.

However, you might not be aware that methane is 25 times more powerful than carbon dioxide, or that each cow emits 200 to 500 litres of the stinky stuff a day through belching and farting.

There's 1.5 billion cows in the world, so yeah...that's a lot of toxic gas!

Something has to be done about our bovine friends breaking wind as it's contributing to the destruction of the planet, so a government department in the US has given scientists over $200,000 to study cow farts.

No bull!

Yep, researchers have been awarded the task of solving the problem of cow farts before it's too late.
