Representatives from across the political spectrum have condemned a demonstration held at the home of Health Minister Simon Harris.
Gardaí attended the scene in Greystones, Co Wicklow yesterday afternoon and say a group of approximately 20 people left peacefully.
The Minister was in his house at the time, along with his wife and their three-week-old daughter.
It came as pressure mounts on Simon Harris over the nurses' strike and the new children's hospital.
TDs, opposition parties and the INMO have all condemned the protest.
Speaking to the Irish Independent last night, the Minister said:
"Obviously my number one priority is the safety and the well-being of my family. It was obviously a very frightening experience for them. Thankfully everyone is OK but a little bit shook."
